Q. What happens once I register with the Hampstead Academy?
Once you register with us, one of our representatives will contact you; we will discuss your position and whether you would benefit from our services. If so, we will go through the registration process with you. We will use the information you give us to find the tutor that is most suited for you. Register you interest here.
Q. How and when can I book a session?
Once we have found you a tutor, you will be able to contact them directly to arrange lessons. We use a highly sophisticated tutoring management software that is both straightforward and flexible, making lesson booking effortless.
Q. How do I pick a tutor?
We match each one of our students to the tutor we believe is best for them. We take into account much more than just the subject; aspirations, interests and personalities are all factored into our recommendation. If you think we haven't made the right decision, then we will happily offer you another tutor. See how we match our tutors and students here.
Q. How much does it cost?
We draw a large emphasis on fairness; we ensure that our rates are both fair to our tutors and to our clients whilst being sustainable for our enterprise. We charge an one off registration fee of £50, then an hourly rate applies of the duration of the tutoring lessons. For a quote, please contact us.
Q. Are all your tutors the same price?
Yes, all our tutors are trained to give the best tuition and service possible. We have faith in the ability of all our tutors, we accept the best and make them better. Therefore we charge the same for each one.
Q. How can I be sure that I can trust the tutor?
For your peace of mind we ensure that our tutors have an up to date DBS check. See our security process here.
We check their qualifications and references ourselves ensuring they have truthfully represented themselves. See our vetting process here.
Despite these efforts, we cannot predict any unfortunate events. Please let us know if any issues arise so that we may act accordingly.
Q. How can I find out information about my tutor?
Before you accept one our our tutors, we will send you their CV. You will have the chance to ask questions and address concerns directly to them. You will never have to commit to a tutor, our contracts are designed in such a way that allows flexibility and freedom.
Q. I want tuition for more than one subject, what options are available to me?
There are two options available. Firstly, many of our tutors teach multiple subjects; we will try to find you a tutor who can teach all the subjects that you require. However you could opt to have more than one tutor should this not be possible.
Q. Can I get any help with university or school applications?
Yes you can. Our tutors will support you through every step of your application process from helping you write your personal statement to preparing you for interviews. Many of our tutors come from the best universities in the world and can offer unparalleled advice and guidance. Q. When do you think it is best to start private tuition?
There is no right answer to this question. Students vary from each other and so would all benefit at different stages. Some students start their tuition journey as young as year 1, others only have tuition for their A-levels. We believe tutoring is most effective from 11+ as this is when the more challenging secondary education commences. With the abolishment of KS3 exams; students are now focusing on their GCSEs from this age.
Q. Why should I use an agency?
An agency is the safer and smarter way to be tutored. We have already verified your tutors qualifications, references and their DBS check; saving you the time and effort. We ensure that our tutors have impeccable teaching skills through our mandatory training programme and assessment process. Q. I want tuition for more that one student, is there a discount?
We only charge one registration fee per household, so if you have more than one student in your house then you're saving money. We value our clients loyalty; offering discounts, premium services and other bonuses on a discretionary basis.
Q. I know someone who would benefit from tutoring, do I get anything for recommending them?
Yes you do! We offer rewards to both our clients and our tutors. The nature of this reward is circumstantial. This could be in the form of a commission, a voucher or a gift.

Q. Does tuition have to be 1-to-1?
No. We recommend one-to-one tuition, however we also offer group sessions should you have more than one student at the same level. This is ideal for friends, neighbors and siblings at the same level. Our hourly rate is higher for this service; however it is cheaper per student. Please contact us to find out more about our terms and conditions.
Q. Wouldn't the use of an agency cost more and be more hassle?
Going through an agency offers a more encompassing package with a wider range of services with no added inconvenience. With a simple registration, administration and booking process, we are able to deliver a flexible and straightforward tutoring service.
